Looking back on Xiaomi MIX, the birth of ‘full screen’, where the dream began. The form of smartphones is constantly changing, and of course, cameras are no exception.
According to reports, a mobile phone design patent submitted by Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co., Ltd. to the State Intellectual Property Office was approved. The patent shows an exceptional new design by Xiaomi.
It is reported that the design patent was applied for on October 27, 2020, and was formally approved on April 20 this year. It contains 32 product patent design drawings.
We can see from the patent drawing, the body and screen frame are similar to the iPhone 12 in terms of their single appearance. However, the body does not see the physical buttons, and there is no charging and headphone jack. The design is still very advanced.
The screen adopts a full-screen design, and there is no perforation processing on the screen. The phone likely uses under-screen camera technology. After all, Xiaomi has also set foot in this field.
The rear camera module is even more eye-catching. It uses a lightning-shaped design, which is unprecedented in history. The number of cameras is also exciting. It seems to have adopted a dual camera and dual flash design.
The overall design of this Xiaomi phone is still very unique, from the lack of physical buttons and charging port to the under-screen camera and the lightning-shaped rear camera are all highlights. Of course, this is only a patent currently, and it is still unknown whether it can be mass-produced.
