When the Apple company abandoned the headphone jack a few years ago, some of the smartphone companies were quick to copy the decision, only to follow suit later on. Well, the history is repeating itself. Apple made another launch in the month of October and brought iPhone 12 in the market with the charger and earphones removed from the box pointing out environmental factors. Xiaomi copied the idea from Apple for not packing the adapter with the box, it seems like the company is following the footsteps of Apple as Lei Jun the CEO of Xiaomi confirms Mi 11 is not coming with the charger.
It is a justifiable dispute over providing yet another piece of plastic that is quite similar to what people are already having. The company Xiaomi got indulged with another group who poked Apple first for not including for not packing the charger for iPhone 12 and second when Xiaomi confirms Mi 11 is also not having the charger packed with it.
Jun made the remarks on Chinese social media site Weibo against the dispute, saying that the users already have many chargers which will create an environmental burden, and that is the reason why the company Xiaomi confirms that Mi 11 was canceling the charger. The decision is made to the response of technology for the environmental factors. Taking care of the environment by making things that could compensate in other ways. As, the users are already having the chargers.
The CEO of the Chinese smartphone maker company Xiaomi, Lei Jun has approved that its new upcoming handset Xiaomi Mi 11 is not packed with a charger, allegedly being concerned about the environmental factors.
Lei quoted the environmental factors as a reason for the removal of the charger from Mi 11's box and said that he is apprehensive that the decision would not go down well with a lot of customers.
Moreover, Jun disclosed that the design of Mi 11's which is thinner comparatively to other smartphones that come with a charger, it has a main camera having 108MP, with Super AMOLED screen, HDR10+ certification, and audio tuning by Harman Kardon.
