Xiaomi is going to come with another gaming phone in their basket, as the Black Shark series look to add to the lineup with the upcoming 3s. The Black Shark 3s looks like a seriously impressive gaming phone with insane stats, and that too at barely half the price of what other manufacturers are offering for such hardware in a phone.
The BS 3s is going to feature the best chipset we have in the market as of now (after the 865+), the Snapdragon 865 inside the phone. It will also provide 12GB RAM in all of its variants, with the difference only being in the storage department, as the base model will come with 128GB, the middle one being 256, and the most premium option being the 512GB - all of which will feature UFS 3.1 inside.
The display seems to be quite promising on the Black Shark 3s, as you’ll get a 6.67” AMOLED display panel with a 120Hz refresh rate - a pair which we barely get to see in phones at this price point. There’s also a 270Hz touch sampling rate, along with just 17ms in latency - both of which will help immensely while gaming.
The other specifications include a 4,720 mAh battery unit that will support upto 65W fast charging. A triple camera setup is seen at the back, with a 64MP main shooter, a 13MP wide angle lens, and finally a 5MP depth sensor. A 20 MP selfie camera is housed in the top bezel in the front of the phone. The BS 3s will be running on Joy UI 12 based on Android 10, since this UI has been designed specifically for gaming purposes and will provide more features for avid gamers.
The base 128GB model will cost you around 570 USD, the 256GB one being 616 dollars, and finally the 512GB will set you back about 690 bucks. The phone is scheduled for Chinese and global release soon, and we can’t wait to see it in person!
