Vivo has been trying to release impressive mid range devices that dominate the market, and even though it hasn’t been able to get to the top of that segment, they’ve had patches of decent success, like with the S1 Pro. Now they’re trying to get to the top of the game again, as the upcoming Y51s is a seriously impressive contender to the mid range market. The likes of Redmi Note 9 Pro and Realme 6 have been dominating for far too long, and it might not be too far in the future till we see a new phone on top.
The Y51s is almost a complete package at the price point, as it has great performance, decent screen, good cameras and a battery that will easily last you a day. The phone comes with an Exynos 880 5G, which won’t be as efficient or consistent as the Snapdragon chipsets, but it still is a powerful one, and will be able to run all your games on high settings smoothly.
The screen is an FHD+ panel, and the screen size is 6.53” - not too big, not too small. The battery unit is going to be a chunky 4500 mAh, and will easily last you through a day on full charge. 18W fast charge support is also on board, which is usual at this price point. A downside with the phone is that you won’t be getting an ultra-wide sensor with this one, as there’s a triple camera setup on the back, with a 48MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens as well.
The Y51s will be coming to markets on 29th July, and will surely be a phone that people have eyes on. We’ll have to wait and see how well the market receives it.
