Racing games are one of the top most downloaded genres that’s seen in app stores, be it Android or iOS. After shooters, racing games are probably the most popular in phones, thanks to the adaptability of controls according to phone sensors. One such sensor that was used even in the earlier generation of racing games was the Gyroscope, as users are able to steer the car in game by tilting their phones in real life. Asphalt has been the pioneer of racing games on phones for quite a while now. It’s been dominating the market for years now, and it’s due to the quality of their games year in and year out. Asphalt 9 follows suit, with its incredible graphics and life-like game physics that make you feel like you’re driving a real car when you’re in game. Moreover, you can even battle it out with real people online with a PvP option as well. Play more games to unlock about 50 cars in game, and fight against opponents with your supercars.
BBR should be your go-to if you were a fan of Mario Kart back in its glory days. It features online gaming against other real players, with similar power-ups during races, and upto 40 collectable cars that you can then take for a spin in online races. There is no current offline racing feature, but it’s still plenty fun to play with.
CSR Racing is unlike your typical racing games, where you can typically control your car fully. In CSR, there is only an option of drag racing that you can do in game. Accelerate your car and shift at the right time to get an edge over your opponents. There is also a campaign feature where you can buy new cars and upgrades and then win over against other players.
Hill Climb Racing features a cartoon-ish type of graphics that surely look appealing in its own place, and it’s definitely a fun game to play. You have to race through 2D tracks and go through obstacles before your gas runs out. There are gas cans spread across the track which you need to collect and refill your tank before your gas runs out. You can play the game to get newer cars and upgrades and unlock new maps in the long run.
Perhaps the only real contender to Asphalt gameplay wise, Real Racing 3 is one of the most real looking racing games out there. The game features over a 100 different cars of different companies, and also has a Formula 1 race mode where you can drive F1 cars against opponents. You won’t get bored of this game for a long long time as it has plenty of content to go over
