Qualcomm has introduced the Snapdragon 750G 5G mobile platform which is its latest 7-series Snapdragon processor.This 5G chip-set with AI-powered noise suppression features an integrated X52 5G modem with support for both mmWave and sub-6GHz 5G and is built on Samsung's 8nm LPP process.
This processor is a more advanced version of its successor, the Snapdragon 730G. Overall, the company claims that performance has improved by up to 20 percent thanks to the Cortex-A77 cores which are clocked at 2.2GHz, the inclusion of a new Adreno 619 GPU and improved CPU based on the Cortex-A55. In addition, graphics performance will increase by 10 percent due to the Adreno 619 GPU.
As it is a powerful mid-range processor, he SoC will also have support for Snapdragon Elite Gaming features like HDR gaming, updatable GPU drivers, and HDR fast blend. The new imaging processor features the Spectra 355L ISP which supports up to 192-megapixel photos.
Furthermore, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G supports up to 120Hz FHD+ displays as well as up to 32MP + 16MP dual-camera setup with Zero Shutter Lag plus 4K HDR video recording.
According to Qualcomm, the first devices based on the Snapdragon 750G should be available by the end of 2020.
