Samsung may stop producing the Exynos 990 version of the Galaxy S20 FE

Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 FE in September 2020, which is the second fan edition model after the 2017 Galaxy Note FE. This phone has two versions, 4G and 5G. The former is equipped with Samsung's internal Exynos 990 SoC, and the latter uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. Few months after the release of this phone, Samsung may stop producing the Exynos 990 version.

Galaxy FE

Galaxy S20 FE is one of the best phones launched in 2020. But these praises are all for the 5G version equipped with Qualcomm chips. On the contrary, the 4G version was criticized by the media and users for its poor battery life and performance.

It seems that Samsung is trying to correct this decision with its new measures. The company recently launched the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in India. Besides, it is reported that Samsung is developing a new 4G version that uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 series chips instead of Exynos 990.

According to the news, Samsung will stop producing Galaxy S20 FE equipped with Exynos 990. The Snapdragon 865+ model will replace this model. It means that the upcoming new Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G780G) may use Snapdragon 865+SoC instead of Snapdragon 865.

Since the new Galaxy S20 FE has been listed on several Samsung regional websites, it can be expected to be officially released soon.
