Samsung has released a few phones this year, including the much hyped Galaxy Note 20 Ultra which saw a lot of attention due to the feature-packed specs it had. We heard a lot of rumours about the upcoming second iteration of the Fold devices, and how they will also fall under the “Z” branding of Samsung. Then a few weeks later, we also heard about the unveiling of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 2, and the way it looked through an official video tweet from Samsung itself. However, after the many teasers - official and unofficial, and different speculations on the phone - it’s finally up for pre-order purposes, as it goes live in the UK.
Samsung has offered the phone in two premium colors - namely Mystic Bronze and Black. It comes with a gorgeous 7.7” AMOLED display panel which also supports 120Hz, something Samsung has finally included in this year’s flagships. Moreover, you’re getting the best processor out there for Android devices at the moment, with the Snapdragon 865+ which will be paired along with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The battery on the Samsung Z Fold 2 is going to be a 4,500mAh unit - which might give average results due to the demanding nature of the phone at hand.
Fortunately, Samsung has actually paid attention to what their fans and consumers have been saying - and it’s mostly to reduce the prices of their devices, and hence the Z Fold 2 also sees a reduction in price. Both the UK and Europe variants will see a price drop of 100 Pounds and 100 Euros respectively, as the new phone will cost 1799 Pounds in the UK, and 1900 Euros in the European market. Sales are expected to start from the 18th of September, as pre-order users will get the phone by the 17th.
