It’s been a long time coming for the Korean manufacturer, but Samsung has finally stepped into the arena with other phone makers to welcome Android 11 on their devices. Previously it was expected that we’d have to wait till February to see Samsung devices get the OneUI 3.0 update which is built on Android 11 - but it seems like people are already getting the update as we’ve seen many reports all over the world.
Russia seems to be the first place which is getting the update on a major scale, as we’ve gotten lots of reports coming in from the country mentioning the new OneUI 3.0 update on their devices by Samsung. The new update will be coming to select Samsung phones, which will include the Samsung S20 FE too. The S20 FE will have its 5G and LTE variants both see the OneUI 3.0 update.
If you wanna know you’ve landed the update as well, just head on to the software updates section in the Settings menu in your Samsung phone. It will pop up right there if it’s available for you to download. The new jump to OneUI 3.0 seems to have plenty of design changes, as it goes for a slightly toned down version of its predecessor, with a much more polished finish, as everything looks aesthetic and pleasing to the eyes.
Even though the Android 11 train has arrived at the Samsung station, it seems like they won’t be implementing all of the new OS’ features - such as the long hold power button to bring down the smart menu. Nonetheless, it’s a step that many Samsung fans were desperately waiting for.
