Samsung has done 2 Galaxy Unpacked events already in the last couple of months or so, and have given us plenty of devices to look at in those two events. We got the Note 20 Ultra, Z Fold 2, S7 Tab and a lot more. Samsung is not looking to put an end to their year though, as they’ve announced another Unpacked event for more devices scheduled for the 23rd of September. Not much else is confirmed by Samsung, but they’ve given it a catchphrase which says “Unpacked for every fan” - so what could that mean?
We’ve heard lots of talk about the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, short for Fans Edition - as Samsung has talked and teased about the phone themselves too. The last time this name was used for a Samsung variant was back with the Note 7 FE - yes that Samsung phone that used to blow up a lot. The Korean giant wouldn’t want to bring that same luck to their new FE device though.
The S20 FE seems like a brilliant device in the waiting, as it’s going to have a price tag that will be much lower than that of usual Samsung flagship phones - at 699 bucks only. However, its specs are still top-notch, as it will feature a Snapdragon 865 as its main SoC, a 120Hz refresh rate display, which itself will be amazing as expected from a Samsung phone - the battery is also going to be pretty decent, at 4500W. Samsung is going to try and cut corners at different departments to try to fit in more important components of the phone.
It seems unlikely, as it’s a whole event, and just releasing one device in it would seem unconventional and unlike Samsung. The previous Galaxy Unpacked events saw plenty of devices announced, and this one should follow suit in Samsung fashion.
