The Redmi range of devices from the Chinese powerhouse Xiaomi have brought some amazing bang for your buck phones to the market, notably in the mid range segment where they mostly sit on top of the throne with multiple devices at multiple price points. If we talk about extreme dominance, then it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the K30 devices have been on the throne for quite some time now. When the K30 series came out, especially the K30 Pro, or Mi 9T Pro, blew up in the media as everyone talked about the device from Xiaomi. It packed so much value in the price it came with, that it actually ran out of stock from everywhere in Pakistan - and still is out of stock or is selling for 1.5x it’s official price.
However, there might be a newcomer in the Redmi K30 phone range, as a K30 Ultra might be in the works. We got this leak from TENAA, as a phone was registered on the website not by the name of K30 Ultra, but the specs and design seemed awfully similar to the other K30 devices. A similar camera module, the red-accented power button - it’s all a tell-tale of K30 phones. The confirmed specs on TENAA included a 6.67” AMOLED panel, a 4,400 mAh battery unit and a weight of 213g. On the unconfirmed side of specs, we actually have the processor, which isn’t confirmed, but there have been rumours that it will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 1000 chipset, which is extremely capable in a lot of situations. Two RAM variants of either 6 or 8GB might be in the book as well.
There are a lot of reasons to be excited about the potential K30 Ultra, with pricing being one of them. You’re gonna get top notch specs from the phone at half the price, as it’s expected to be priced around the 450 dollar mark, and could go upto 500 depending on the variant. All in all, the K30 Ultra seems like an extremely impressive device.
