Realme has seen a sudden surge in popularity in their devices as they’ve released bangers after bangers for the last couple of years - and continue to do so. The amount of audience they’ve accumulated within this time frame has never been seen before, and it’s mostly due to the quality they provide in the low price points their phones come at. Now they’re coming out with what might just be the best phone in the mid range department - as their upcoming V5 will be the cheapest 5G enabled smartphone in the market as of now.
The V5 almost seems like a thing too good to be true - as you’re getting amazing performance, high-refresh rate display and 5G at barely 200 dollars, something that has been unheard of. The phone has a MediaTek Dimensity 720 chipset, which sounds average - but it actually boasted an Antutu score of just above 300,000 - more than the Snapdragon 720G and in some cases the 730G as well. The screen, even though an LCD panel, offers 90Hz refresh rate as well as a 180Hz touch sampling rate, which will help massively in gaming to reduce latency. The battery is pretty good too, as there’s a 5,000 mAh battery unit inside with a 30W fast charging support - again, something that most phones don’t offer at the price the phone comes with.
At just 200 dollars for the 6/128GB variant, we think the upcoming V5 will be the best phone under 300 bucks, as it’s packed with features and options most other devices don’t provide - especially the availability of 5G. The phone will be going live on the 7th of August in China, and will be followed by a global release soon as well.
