Pakistan Mobile Phone Imports Rise To 1.31 Billion In 2021

According to Dawn, an official of a cell phone company said that the companies are now happy with the demand for an increase in Rs 10,000 to Rs 40,000 in the mobile phone market, and an atmosphere of positive competition has been created.

He said that smartphones worth Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 are being purchased as online education has gained momentum.

He said that in the last year, there had been a huge demand for groceries online.

The official said that Korean and Chinese manufacturers are introducing one to two new cell phones every two months with 2/3 GB RAM and 32/64 GB storage options which have brought great relief to the people and Can't buy expensive cell phones starting at Rs.50,000.

The Karachi-based cell phone maker said 2G phones are still thriving because many people cannot afford cell phones worth more than Rs 10,000.

On the other hand, according to the website of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, the number of cell phone users increased from 168 million in July 2020 to 178 million in January.
