Oppo is one of those phone manufacturers which is in the race to make the best mid range device in the market, and one that excels its counterparts in each price range within the mid range section. It hasn’t really lived up to the mark as of yet, as the likes of Xiaomi, Realme and Huawei are currently dominant in those segments. However, Oppo seems to be persistent about their approach, and are planning to release a phone called the Oppo A72 5G for less than 300 bucks.
The device was leaked accidentally by China Telecom, and was put up on Geekbench. The phone seems to be promising, but it’s not confirmed exactly what chipset will be installed inside the phone. The telecom company claimed that the chipset inside is a MediaTek processor, which speaks for the low price point that the A72 5G has. GeekBench scores are decent with the phone, as it will also come with either 4,6 or 8GB of RAM, with the latter 2 being enough for 2020 standards. It’s unknown whether or not the phone will have a 90Hz display, but it will be impressive if they do somehow fit it in. Moreover, 5G connectivity is also expected to be available on this device.
All in all, it seems like a good deal since all 3 variants (based on RAM) of the phone are priced under 300 dollars. You’ll be getting a decent processor, good build quality and great battery as expected from an Oppo device. Keep an eye out for this one!
