Motorola is the unlikely competitor for Samsung to give it a run for its money against its Galaxy Z Flip device by making their own folding device. However, even though it seems like the unlikely competitor, it feels like the right one since Motorola was the first manufacturer to actually give us an iconic foldable flip device in the past - and they brought a modernized version of it last year with the updated Razr.
Now we have leaked renders from a well known tipper being @evleaks, or Evan Bliss as he has provided us with pictures and a GIF on his private Twitter account. The new upcoming Moto Razr looks a lot like the previous version, with little tweaks here and there. Firstly, the screen and hinge mechanism looks identical to the one on the previous Razr phone. The form factor overall looks very similar - with a slight change to the notch, as it seems smaller now, and the front camera seems more defined. Moreover, the chin at the bottom seems a lot more sleek, as it flows better with the whole design. However, there’s no sign of a fingerprint at the bottom, which is somewhat of a surprise.
The back hasn’t changed much either, except the camera, which seems to protrude a lot more than it does on the current Razr in the market. The renders don’t really expose or leak any sort of specs of the upcoming device, but it’s been speculated that the device will come with a Snapdragon 765G, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, along with 5G capabilities of course. The back camera is likely to be a 48MP sensor that Samsung is to manufacture, along with a 20MP selfie shooter. The pricing is still unknown, as we wait for more details about the release of the new Razr later this year.
