Motorola hasn’t really been upto the mark lately, as its once glory days, a few years ago with the G series being considered the best mid range smartphones in the market, seem to be over now. And with their constant underwhelming devices, Motorola hasn’t really been cutting it in terms of a great smartphone for a reasonable price.
This could be said for the newly released Motorola E7 - as it seems like just another rushed, and underwhelming device from Motorola, as it doesn’t really seem like one to give tough competition to the likes of Realme and Xiaomi in this price point.
The E series from Motorola are known for their low prices, and fall usually in the midrange to the lower mid range spectrum of smartphones. The E7 is a toned down version of its older sibling being the E7 Plus, as it loses out on a lot. The E7 is running on a MediaTek Helio P25, which is a below par processor, even for the price point, and will not let you do much other than browsing social media, and perhaps a little bit of Angry Birds if you’re into gaming?
The battery size is decent, and paired with the 720p display, it will definitely last you long - coming in at 4,000mAh in total. You also get a dual camera unit in the back, with a 48MP main sensor, as Motorola is really all in on the camera system on this device, and are looking to capitalize on it with the E7 as the main selling point of the phone.
However, you could mention some positives about the phone, one such being that you’re getting pure stock Android at this low price, which can be a great experience for users. The camera unit will be decent as well for the price, as we doubt you’ll find better camera shooting devices for the budget segment in smartphones. All in all, the E7 is a below par phone from Motorola, and the company needs to look for something different, and something that will help them give a tough time to the other big guns in the market.
