Motorola G smartphone series have all been about providing affordable yet quality smartphones to users who can’t pay flagship level of money for the top phones. Motorola has been keen on providing users with an impressive overall user experience for its consumers, and that’s why the manufacturer’s mid range phone lineup has been so successful in getting fame and attention globally amongst users and tech media as well. They’re planning to add to that tally now, as a listing of the upcoming Moto G9 Plus has appeared on MySmartPrice.
Battery and software have been two of the main focus points of the Moto G series, and it seems like the G9 Plus will follow suit, as it reportedly will house a chunky, 4,700 mAh battery unit, and will support 30W fast charging on top of that. To put it in context, the G8 Plus had a 4000 mAh battery and topped out at 15W fast charging. Moreover, we can expect to see a clean software on Moto that will resemble stock Android closely, as the phone will ship with Android 10 in the box, and will likely get an update for Android 11 not so far after its expected release.
All other specs, such as RAM, processor and more are currently unknown, but it’s likely that Motorola will go with a Snapdragon 720 - or at least it should, because otherwise it has no chance of even coming close to the likes of Xiaomi and Realme devices in the segment. It will be interesting to see what route Motorola takes with this one.
