Not too long ago, we got the iPhone 12 event from Apple which was fantastic, and gave us plenty of insight as to how the iPhone 12 series are going to be like.
One intriguing addition that Apple talked about in the event was the new MagSafe technology - which is a slightly toned down, and more practical version of the Mods in select Motorola phones not so long ago. Basically MagSafe allows users to get their own personal wireless charger that can stick to the back of the iPhone 12 using magnetic coils - and it doesn’t end there, as there are heaps of other accessories that users can get to make use of these magnets at the back of the device, including a popular MagSafe wallet which sticks to the back of your iPhone 12.
However, many users were concerned about whether or not the iPhone 12 would be able to charge wirelessly with the MagSafe wallet on - and we’ve found out that it isn’t possible unfortunately. This is probably due to safety issues with the card chips which could be affected by magnetic field strength.
