Has it ever happened to you that you’re playing your favourite game on your Apple device with your friends, and it’s an intense match. You forget to put your phone on silent mode, and you get a call from someone and it pops up all over your screen, disturbing your game. This can completely ruin your match, and sometimes your mood too - but now it’s no longer going to be an issue. Before when someone would call you, the call window would take your whole screen, and overlap any app you’re using - but now, with the iOS 14 update coming to town, calls will finally take the Android route, and float on top of the screen.
This was a feature that was much needed in Apple phones, because it was nudgy, annoying and unavoidable. The new mechanism for calls is much smoother, as it displays a bar at the top of your display, with the name, number of the contact, and the option to either accept the call or deny it- - you get the buttons for both of those options in green and red. If you don’t wanna deny someone’s call, you can simply swipe up the call bar to make it go away and let the call ring in silence - you’ll still get the call icon on the top left of your display in case you want to attend to it again. You can also expand the calling bar fully by tapping it or swiping it down, if you want to use the other available options with regards to a call. If you do pick up the call, the calling icon will again move to the top left of your display, and you can proceed with whatever you were doing.
