Infinix has made sure that it's viewed as a threat to its competitors and is committed to produce the most cutting-edge technology which does not lack in either innovation or design.
The Infinix Zero 8 runs Android 10 with a now smoother XOS 7 on top. The front of the Zero 8 is a 6.85 inches FHD+ IPS LCD Display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. In the top left corner, we have a dual punch hole notch which houses a 48-megapixel primary camera and a second 8 megapixel ultra wide lens.
At the back there’s a 64 megapixel quad camera setup with quad flash. There’s another 8-megapixel sensor with ultra-wide angle lens, an ultra-night video camera and a depth sensor. The camera claims to deliver good results. The smartphone is capable of recording 4k videos from both the front and rear cameras. In addition, the phone can also record 960Fps slow mode videos.
Infinix took a risk with this diamond shape camera layout - however, it seems to have been executed in a sleek manner, with a unique look coming from the camera module. Moreover, the polycarbonate finish gives it a very premium touch. There’s a subtle amount of gradient finishing but unfortunately it is also a fingerprint magnet.
What created a lot of hype about this phone is the 90Hz refresh rate which sits on a 1080p display. This is an upgrade from the 60Hz refresh rate - it is subtle but it’s enough to give an overall smoother experience.
Another major feature upgrade would have to be the processor. The Mediatek Helio G90T, which is quite popular on the Redmi Note 8 Pro, is a gaming processor and is going head to head with the Snapdragon 730G - something which will definitely delight avid gamers. In terms of memory, the Infinix Zero 8 has an 8GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The Helio G90T helps with the RAM Power as well. In addition, the storage can be expanded via micro-SD card slot.
The phone comes with a fast charging battery for which Infinix adds in a 33W fast charging via USB Type C port capability to support its 4500 mAh battery. The phone is available in 2 different colors namely black and white; however, the white is generally viewed as more aesthetically pleasing. The Infinix Zero 8 is going to be available globally and will retail for $260.
