Infinix, which is a subsidiary of Transsion, has been rapidly growing in markets, especially in India, and is now gearing up for the release of a new low-to-mid-range phone. The phone is called the Note 8 and was recently spotted on the NBTC certification website, which confirms its moniker. Unlike the Redmi or Samsung Note lineup with the same name, this phone showed up on Geekbench which gives us an insight on some of its specifications and what to expect.
As seem on the NBTC certification, the Infinix Note 8 (with the model number Infinix X692) has recently been certified. The phone is set to run on Android 10 which will be coupled with 6GB RAM. The device will be a 4G handset and will feature a newer processor called the MT6769V/CU, or MediaTek Helio G80. Infinix Note 8 has managed to pull off 373 in the single-core test and 1,295 in the multi-core test. There are, however, no reports as to how the phone looks or functions as yet.
The Infinix Note 8 may pose as a threat to the Redmi 9 or Poco’s 4G only phone- the M2 in India, especially if it is priced in such a way that it gives a bigger advantage.
