Huawei is the world’s biggest phone manufacturer, as it overtook Samsung a few months ago to take over the number 1 spot. It’s doing great in terms of smartphones (apart from the US market due to the Google ban) - but that’s not where the Chinese behemoth is looking to stop. Huawei has its own lineup of truly wireless earbuds, which compete well with the likes of Apple’s Airpods and Samsung’s Galaxy Buds as well. They had their own smartband in the Honor band series - and they’ve also been really impressive in the smartwatch business too, recording a YoY growth of 57%.
Now, the company has released a new smartwatch which will potentially break the market - as the new Huawei Watch Fit packs a punch - and more, at a price point of just $110. The much rumoured and speculated watch is finally official, as it comes with a gorgeous 1.64” AMOLED display, which is also 2D curved, to look more seamless around the edges. Moving on, the watch reeks of premiumness, as it has slick looks all around, with a rectangular watch head at the top. You also get a button at the side of the watch which acts as a power button to wake the device up.
The watch will also come with the AOD feature, as you’ll get 6 different watch face options to choose from in the sleep screen of the AOD. You also get plenty of workout features in the smartwatch, with the option of animated workouts, such as ab ripper, full body stretches and a lot more. There are a total of 96 - yes you heard that right, 96 different workout modes, including the support for running, swimming, cycling, sports and a lot more.
The Huawei Watch Fit also brings a variety of different integral sensors for your health and well-being. An optical heart rate sensor is on board, which you can also set to monitor your heart rate 24/7 to notice any spikes in the heartbeat. Moreover, an SPO2 blood oxygen level sensor is also on board, as well as a menstrual cycle tracker for women. Huawei also includes TruSleep 2.0 and TruRelax, as they’ll help track your sleep and your stress respectively.
The other common features are also in the watch as expected, like receiving calls from your phone, app notifications, alarms, music control and so.
The watch promises to give users about 10 days of battery life on moderate usage, which can come down to 7 days if you’re using heavy features like the 24/7 heart rate monitoring. Huawei Watch Fit has been released in the UAE currently for 399AED, which translates to 110 US Dollars - an impressive price for the set of features that are present in this device.
