Huawei is one of the leading smartphone manufacturers in the world, as it’s definitely a market leader in this specific region. What helps the company get so many sales is the quality of smartphones it rolls out, especially in the flagship region. Their flagship series mainly consist of the P lineup, and the Mate one too. P40 and P40 Pro have already been released for a long time, and now it’s the turn for Mate 40 to make an entrance, which it’s expected to do somewhere in September. However, we do have some information and rumours about the upcoming Mate 40 series.
The first thing to know about the upcoming flagship lineup from Huawei is that it will have a slightly larger screen as compared to the previous Mate 30 devices, with a 6.7 or even 6.8 inch display size instead of a 6.53 inch one on its predecessor. The screen is also expected to follow in the steps of other major devices and opt for a higher refresh rate display. The processor to be used is going to be Kirin 1000/1020 5G, depending on the variant with an expected base RAM of 8GB atleast. The battery is obviously going to be excellent as well, as both phones could sport upto 5000 mAh, with the Pro variant even supporting 66W fast charging.
The Mate 40 base and Pro variants both look promising currently, and they will certainly have class leading hardware inside them. The main issue at hand is going to be in the software side of things, as Huawei will need to find a way to eliminate the void left out by the exclusion of Google services on their devices.
