Android 11 was released yesterday, and saw plenty of new little features and functions for the user base getting that update. Of course, we saw yesterday that for the first time Pixel phones were not the only ones receiving an Android 11 update at the day of its release - as other manufacturers were given that privilege as well from Google, including Oppo, OnePlus, Xiaomi and more. However, another update that came with the Android jump to the 11th iteration was the upgrade of Android emojis.
Android emojis were expected to get an overhaul, and we also heard that Google might be adding several new emojis to the system with the new Android update. Now we have confirmation as Android has dropped, that Google has included 117 total new emojis in Android 11, and some of them seem like they’ll be favourites amongst users. Here are all of those 117 emojis down below.
The emojis were included with the approval of the Unicode Commission, and some of them were recommendations from Unicode Emoji 13. The new emojis include a smiling face with a tear down its face, which we feel like will get pretty popular amongst the masses. So will the pinching hand emoji, which is a representation of the “Italian Hand” which is another gesture famous amongst the demographic of smartphone users.
Apart from new emojis, Android 11 has also seen an update of pretty much every pre-existing emoji as well - with a complete change in the way they look. With different looks, color palettes and design patterns, even older emojis look different now, and it will be upon the users to decide whether the changes are positive for them or not.
All in all, Android 11 has been bringing a lot for the users who are getting the update for it, as it seems like an update that will make the whole smartphone experience better for Android users.
