Apple’s live event got aired today, and it had all the details about the new iPhone 12 series coming to store soon, including details about the performance of the new A14 bionic chip, new features like the Ceramic Shield glass protection on the display, and even the brand new iPhone 12 mini which is smaller and cheaper as compared to the regular iPhone 12, but it shares the exact same features and specs as its older brother.
However, we’re here to talk about one interesting and unexpected feature which went kind of under the rug with all the other big details: MagSafe.
MagSafe is one of the first times that Apple has actually devoted its time and resources to official accessories and items to make the iPhones more convenient than regular use. MagSafe is kind of like the add-on Moto Mods that got popular a while ago, but just a little dialed down version of them. Apple is now allowing users the opportunity to customize their phones with personal covers and other accessories that will work using magnetic sensors and will also allow for wireless charging to be done through them.
One of the accessories you could talk about is the wallet - as you can get the wallet from Apple, and it will just stick to the back of your iPhone itself, and you can even wirelessly charge your phone on top of it. Even the wireless charger will stick to the back of the phone, and the charger itself can be folded as it’s extremely portable.
All in all, it’s great to see Apple out of all manufacturers to be doing this, and making smartphones a lot more fun to use with all these additions.
