It is reported that the A15 processor will be based on the enhanced N5P process of the second-generation 5nm process. This process has unveiled in the A14 Bionic and the 2020 iPad Air and iPhone 12 series. However, the performance of the A15 is at least compared to the A14. There will be a 20% improvement, and the power consumption will be reduced.
Due to insufficient production capacity, the iPhone 12 was not released at Apple's autumn conference in September 2020 but chose to launch in October. At present, all matters concerning the N5P process are going well. Apple may start producing A15 chips at the end of May. Apple has contacted TSMC to use the 5nm or 5nm Plus process to produce the iPhone 13's A15 chip and has also ordered the first production capacity of TSMC's TSMC 4nm chip to create the next generation Apple chips. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that Apple may release the iPhone 13 in September 2021.
Apple plans to make more changes for the upcoming iPhone 13, like moving the earpiece to the top frame to achieve smaller bangs; a fingerprint sensor will be configured in the screen; some iPhone 13 will add ProMotion 120Hz, and the area will always be on Screen function. The iPhone 13 may also have a new matte black style, and the anti-fingerprint performance of the stainless steel edge will be improved. As time goes by, I believe there will be more revelations.
